Private piano lessons for kids and adults in beginning, intermediate and advanced levels.
Practicing piano as a hobby or serious training are all welcomed.
The goal of lessons is to nurture piano playing ability and music enrichment that can bring enjoyment to students and the skills they learned can carry on for their whole lifetime. Helping students to build up solid music foundation and improve in a steady way on their own path without pressure.
Ms. Young believes the piano practicing can help in develop physical coordination, cognitive ability, concentration, creativity, analysis and logical ability, self-discipline, mind expression, releasing anxiety, understanding of others, and bringing peace of mind to self and harmony with others which is a very beneficial training for everyone.
The lessons emphasize the development of playing skills, music interpretation, technique, sight-reading, ear-training, music theory, composition, and express yourself through music. Playing repertoire includes different music styles and composers in the baroque, classical, romantic, impression and contemporary periods. Classical piano music is the main teaching at the studio but playing Jazz, Pop, movie music and holiday music is also added sometimes.
Ms. Young always gives clear instruction and makes sure that students learned something and make progress in each lesson. Also communicate with parents well to let them know the status of learning.
Each student is unique, has his or her own talent and the special points need to enhance. Adapting different teaching strategies and materials according to individual student’s needs and special quality to help them grow in a joyful way.
Opportunity for participate in recital, Certificate of Merit or ABRSM evaluation programs, and competition are available.
